I’m Gavin Barron, a software architect and developer. I work for an IT services company called Intergen.
I’m passionate about the field of software development. Once upon a time I was a J2EE developer and I saw the light / turned to the darkside / jumped the fence and moved to the .NET world where I’m now firmly entrenched. Despite that I do like to try and keep abreast of wider happenings in the Microsoft and .NET world.
Highlights of my career thus far:
Presenting at Microsoft Ignite 2015
Presenting at the Australian & New Zealand SharePoint Conferences multiple times
Presenting at Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2011
Presenting at Microsoft TechEd New Zealand 2011
Speaking to all the New Zealand based SharePoint User Groups
Working on the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007(MOSS) PRA Kick Start Pack
Being one of the authors for the VSeWSS 1.1 User Guide
Outside of work I love to ski, listen to music and have been know to ride a mountain bike.
